Whether you’re shaving your beard, legs or private parts, why not make this routine a pleasant ritual ✨, which will literally leave your skin glowing? With this DIY aftershave balm, your skin will be soft and nourished without any unnecessary chemicals .🌿 Essential oils are also not necessary – if you have a sensitive skin, feel free to leave them out. It simply depends on your preference. If you use our special cream before shaving, ensuring a perfect glide, you might not even need the balm! However, if you prefer soaps, shaving foams or similar products, you will love this balm! And the result? Glowing skin which doesn’t need anything else. 💫
🧪 Ingredients (around 100 ml):
- 2 tablespoons shea butter
- 2 tablespoons coconut oil (preferably unprocessed)
- 1 tablespoon of almond or apricot oil (or jojoba oil)
💡 Optional:
- 3-10 drops of vitamin E (helps with preservation and skin care)
- essential oils (they truly are not necessary, max 3-5 drops):
- Neutral, fresh vibe: mint, lavender or tea tree
- Gentle floral aroma: rose, ylang-ylang, geranium
- Slightly earthy scent: cedarwood, sage, sandalwood
✨ How to do it
- Carefully melt the shea butter and coconut oil in a water bath.
- Remove from heat and stir in almond or apricot oil and vitamin E.
- If you plan to use essential oils, simply add a few drops and mix thoroughly.
- Finally pour the mixture into a clean, resealable jar, and allow it to set – either at room temperature or in the refrigerator, depending on your preference.
🔧 Use:
Apply a small amount of the balm after shaving, ideally on a still slightly damp skin (you can adjust the amount as needed) and gently massage it in. Result? Your skin will be happy, calm and ready to glow.
⏳ How long does it last?
If fresh and quality ingredients are used and proper hygiene is taken care during the production and storage, the balm can last up to several months – usually around 3-6 months 😉.
GG tip: These ingredients are multi-purpose. No need to worry about them going bad or stress with not knowing what else to do with them. You can use them for deodorants, lotions and many other hacks. Simply take a look at many other DIY guides and try it yourself!
