But we think it\u2019s slightly better to reach for <strong>cosmetic-grade pigment CI 77499<\/strong>, or black iron oxide specifically intended for cosmetic use.<\/p>\n<h3>\u2b50 How to Make It<\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><strong>Prepare the pigment.<\/strong><br \/>Place the black iron oxide in&nbsp;a&nbsp;small bowl or mortar, add part of the castor oil and grind it thoroughly into a&nbsp;smooth black paste without any lumps.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><strong>Melt the waxes.<\/strong><br \/>Place the beeswax, carnauba wax and candelilla wax in&nbsp;a&nbsp;heat-resistant container and heat them in&nbsp;a&nbsp;water bath until completely melted.
